Since plush and chenille yarn is in, I've been looking for a way to create cute characters with this yarn. Specifically used here is Big Twist Posh, but this pattern is designed to get a cute chibi base for any character you can dream up!

4mm hook

3.5mm hook

Worsted Weight Pink Yarn

Worsted Weight White Yarn

Tapestry Needle (for weaving ends)


Stitches Required (US terminology)

Sc - single crochet

Inc - Single crochet increase

Dec - Single crochet decrease

Sl st - skip stitch


Pattern

Starting with the womb!!

Work in a round, start with 4mm hook. We will be working from the bottom up.

Using your pink yarn.

Round 1: 6 sc a magic circle. (6 sts)

Round 2-3: 1 sc in each of the next 6 sts. (6 sts)

Round 4: (Inc) - 6 times (12 sts)

Round 5: (1 sc in the next st, inc) - 6 times (18 sts)

Round 6: (1 sc in the next 2 sts, inc) - 6 times (24 sts)

Round 7-10: 1 sc in each of the next 24 sts.(24 sts)

Insert the eyes and sew on little angry eyebrows now. Then stuff.

Round 11: (1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, dec) - 6 times (18 sts)

Round 12: (1 sc in the next st, dec) - 6 times (12 sts)

Round 13: ( dec) - 6 times (6 sts)

Fasten off and sew the hole shut, attach the keychain onto one of the loops of the last round.


Fallopian tubes (make 2)

Working in a round, start with white yarn with 3.5mm hook

Round 1: 4 sc in a magic circle. (4 sts)

Round 2-3: 1 sc in each of the next 4 sts. (4 sts)

Fasten off white yarn. Join with pink yarn in any st.

Round 4: Ch 1 (this is not a st) 1 sc in each of the next 4 sts (4 sts)

Round 5-10: 1 sc in each of the next 4 sts. (4 sts)

Round 11: (inc) - 4 times. (8 sts)

Fasten off. Attach the tubes and weave in all ends.

 Chenille Yarn (Brown, Dark Brown, Pink, White)
7mm hook 
5mm hook
12mm Safety Eyes 
Polyfill

Terminology (US)
sc - single crochet 
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
inc - sc increase 
dec - sc decrease 
ch - chain 



Mini Eevee Amigurumi Pattern

Head/Body

Using brown and 7mm hook

R1: 6 sc in a magic circle (6)

R2: (inc) - 6 times (12)

R 3: (1 sc, inc) - 6 times (18)

R 4: (2 sc, inc) - 6 times (24)

R5-7: sc around (24)

R8: (2 sc, dec) - 6 times (18)

R9: (1 sc, dec) - 6 times (12)

R10: sc around (12)


Fasten off brown, join with white.


R11 :Front loops only (1 sc, in the next st make 1 hdc and 1 dc, ch1, in the next st make 1 dc and 1 hdc, 1 sc) - 3 times.

Insert safety eyes between rounds 6-7 about 3 stitches apart. Make sure that your eyes are centered around the middle set of the three “fluffs” of the mane. Using pink yarn, stitch on some cheeks under the eyes.


In the back loops of round 10, join with brown yarn.

R12: sc around (12)

R13: (1 sc, inc) - 6 times (18)

R14-18: sc around (18)

R19: (1 sc, dec) - 6 times (12)

Stuff

R20: (dec) - 6 times (6)

Fasten off



Ears (make 2)

Using brown yarn and 7mm hook, ch2.


R1: 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, ch1, turn (1)

R2: 2 sc in the same st, ch1, turn (2)

R3: 1 sc in each st, ch1, turn (2)

R4: (2 sc in the same st) - 2 times, ch1, turn (4)

R5-7: 1 sc in each st, ch1, turn (4)

R8: 1 sc, dec, 1 sc, ch1, turn (3)

R9: 1 sc in each st (3)


Fasten off. Leave long tail for sewing.


Using dark brown and a 5mm hook, ch2.

R1: 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, ch1, turn (1)

R2: 1 sc in each st, ch1, turn (1)

R3: 2 sc in the same st, ch1, turn (2)

R4-8: 1 sc in each st, ch1, turn (2)

Fasten off and weave in ends.


Place the dark brown piece over the larger brown piece and hot glue the dark brown piece into place.


Front Legs (make 2)

Using brown and a 7mm hook, 

R1: 6 sc in a magic circle. (6)

R2-4: sc around (6)

Stuff the paw.

R5: dec, 4 sc (5)

R6-7: sc around (5)

Stuff the rest of the leg

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.



Back Legs (make 2)

Using brown and a 7mm hook, 

R1: 4 sc in a magic circle (4)

R2-3: sc around (4)

R4: (inc) - 4 times (8)

R5: (sc, inc) - 4 times (12)

R6: sc around (12)

R7: (sc, dec) - 4 times (8)

R8: (dec) - 4 times (4)

Stuff. 

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.




Tail

Using white yarn and a 7mm hook, 

R1: 4 sc in a magic circle (4)

R2: sc around (4)

R3: (1 sc, inc)- 2 times (6)

Fasten off white and switch to brown.

R4: sc around (6)

R5: (1 sc, inc) - 3 times (9)

R6: (2 sc, inc) - 3 times (12)

R7: (1 sc, inc) - 6 times (18)

R8-9: sc around (18)

R10: (2 sc, dec) - 6 times (12)

R11: (1 sc, dec) - 6 times (6)

Stuff

R12: (dec) - 6 times (6)

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Terminology 
sc - single crochet 
inc - sc increase 
dec - sc decrease 
ch - chain 
BO - 5dc Bobble Stitch 
Yo, insert hook into st, pull up, pull through two loops, (Yo, insert hook into same st, pull up, pull through 2 loops) - 4 times, yo, pull through all 6 loops. 
When text is in red, that means to use the accent color

R6: 10sc, BO, 6sc, BO, 10sc (28)

R9: 3sc, BO, 21sc, BO, 3sc (28)

-Now’s a good time to add your safety eyes (between rounds 3-4) and
sew nose details.

R10-11: Sc around (28)
R12: 10sc, 10sc, 8sc (28)
 -The stripe should line up between the ears, you may need to
 adjust the placement

R13: Sc around (28)
R14: 11sc, 10sc, 7sc (28)
 -The stripe should line up with the other stripe, you may need
 to adjust the placement

R16: 5sc, BO, 21sc, BO (28)
 -The paws should line up with the front paws, you may need to
 adjust a few stitches to get them in line

R17: 15sc, Sc, ch3, sc in the second ch from the hook, 1sc, sl st in the same st as the sc, 11 sc. (27 + 1 tail)

R19: (1sc, dec) - 7 times (14)

Sew closed.
